Berry Crumble
250g blueberries
250g
strawberries - hulled
1 tbsp caster
sugar
splash of crème
de cassis
60g unsalted
butter
60g sugar (any
kind)
60g plain flour
1 cup of oats
half a cup of
chopped pecans
1 tsp cinnamon
25g dark chocolate chips
(optional)
serves 3-4
Chop the
strawberries in half and place in a saucepan with the blueberries, sugar and crème de cassis. Heat gently until the sugar has dissolved and the fruit is slightly soft. Remove
from the heat and pour into a small oven-proof dish. Sprinkle over the
chocolate chips if using.
Mix together all other ingredients rubbing the butter in with your
fingers. Once combined cover the fruit with this mixture. Cook at 200 degrees
for 30 minutes or until golden. Allow to cool before serving with ice cream or
fresh custard.
